Who we are

“We” (Product People Limited) are a limited company registered in England & Wales. Our website address is: https://productpeo.pl.

We provide:

  • product management consulting;
  • product management coaching and mentoring services;
  • product management training;
  • product management content authoring; and
  • people to speak at product management events.

Our privacy policy is reviewed at regular intervals to ensure it meets the current statutory requirements. This policy covers the website of Product People Limited.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Website and server logs

When you visit our website, we collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site and to diagnose any problems with the website, should they occur.

We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website, except when you tell us who you are so we can contact you or send your our newsletters (see below).

We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally-identifying information from any other source. If we do want to collect personally-identifiable information through our website, we will be up-front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

Third-party software

As this site uses Automattic’s WordPress and Jetpack software to administer and display the blog, some information is passed to Automattic depending on the way you use the site. Contact forms

If you fill in and submit a contact form on our website (see below), we will collect some or all of the following information you provide:

  • Personal information provided by you, which may include one or more of name, email address and telephone number
  • Company name
  • Details of your enquiry

We will use this for the purpose of contacting you in response to your enquiry. We will retain the information while we are still responding to your messages.

Should you go on to become our client, we will retain the information while you remain a client, and then for six years after we complete our contracted work and invoicing with you in order to satisfy our reporting obligations to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

Contact form bot protection

Contact form interactions are checked by Google’s ReCaptcha bot detection service. This is to ensure a human, rather than an automated script (or “bot”), is filling out the form.

Newsletters

If you provide your name and email address to sign up for one of our newsletters, we will use your details to send you newsletters periodically. You will be given the option to unsubscribe within each newsletter you receive.

Financial data

We neither collect nor store any of your financial data.

This website does not process payments.

Comments

We do not currently accept comments on this website.

If you leave comments on pages or articles on this website, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user-agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Comment spam protection

Visitor comments (if any) may be checked through a third-party automated spam detection service. We have currently disabled the service we usually would use (Anti-Spam Bee).

Media

We do not currently accept media uploads from any users, except the WordPress administrators for this website.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

We do not currently accept comments on this website.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Newsletters

If you provide your name and email address to sign up for one of our newsletters, we will retain it while you continue to subscribe. When you unsubscribe, we will delete your name and email address.

WordPress user registrations

We do not currently accept WordPress user registrations for this website.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their WordPress user profile while they remain an active user. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
